We are so excited to announce that we are planning/hosting a Chocolate Lover’s Cruise in 2008. We will be posting more details as it comes available. But here is what we have so far:
What: Chocolate Lover’s Cruise
Why: For Chocolate Lovers all over to come together and meet other chocolate lovers…….and, just to have a blast.
When: August 25 - 29, 2008
Where: Departing from the port of Tampa, FL with Destinations of Grand Cayman and Cozumel
Who: Hosted by The Chocolate Works & More!!! / Organized and booked through Diane Bean of Cruises, Inc (see below for contact information for Diane)
What’s The Cost? The cost works out to be $525.78 per person (includes cruise faire, port fees, and govt. taxes - does NOT include airfare or hotel to get to Tampa and does NOT include any hotel stay before or after the cruise).

We will be making many changes to the website after the first of the year.
The first of these changes is going to be our shopping cart and the products that are available. We will be narrowing down our product line to reflect our specialty, which is Truffles and Bon Bons. There will be new flavors added, new pictures added and new packaging options added. We will also be adding the additional personalized product line to the shopping cart.
The rest of the changes will be more subtle. These will be things such as adding new recipes to the recipe page, more fun facts will be added, more information about chocolate in general will be added, a press release page will be posted as well as a listing of all publications that have included us in articles as well as where we have advertised.
The biggest thing of all………….is we are planning a Chocolate Lover’s Cruise for the last week of August. More information about this cruise will be posted in the very near future so you can all book your cruise.

We are in the process of adding many new products and services. Being that we specialize in custom work for businesses, weddings, individuals, and any special event or occasion we have decided to add a complete line of personalized products and favor packaging to complement our existing products. In addition, we will also be adding personalized invitations, napkins and other accessories for weddings, parties, corporate events, etc. These new products and services will give our clients more personalized options. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

We are so excited about this event. It will take place end of January (exact date to be announced). There will be a minimum of 6 new truffle flavors introduced. And each of our guests will have the opportunity to sample and suggest names. There will also be a drawing from the names of those guests in attendance and one lucky guest will take home a 1 pound collection of mouth watering truffles. Each guest will also be taking home a sampler box of our newest truffles. And we will be unveiling our new packaging. This event will be by invitation and RSVP required so we’ll know how many and who will be attending. If you’re a member of the local press or a local business owner and would like to make sure you receive an invitation please be sure to email me at melodie@thechocolateworks.com . Those who are already signed up to be on our mailing list will automatically receive an invitation via email.
In addition to our Chocolate Tasting in January we will be getting in touch with local coffee shops and wineries to have combined tastings at various locations. If you have any suggestions or if you own a coffee shop or winery and would like to have an event such as this please let us know.
Along with the Chocolate Tasting after the first of the year we will also be narrowing down our product line. Truffles have always been our specialty and our product line has just grown too far from our original intent. So, after the first of the year we will be getting back to the specialty products that are truly our passion.

We have been asked to be a guest judge at a chili cookoff at a local school. East Wake Academy is having Cowboy Day today. And they are having a chili cookoff at noon. We are honored to be a judge at their event. And we are donating a $15.00 gift certificate for the event. This should be a really fun day and I’m looking forward to it.

The Chocolate Festival that we were vendors at was a huge success. They had sold out of all the tickets. And we’ll be sending a check in the amount of $40 to them from the sales of our products at our booth. It’s not much, but every little bit helps.
We met lots of wonderful new people. And had the opportunity to reconnect with past clients that didn’t know we moved or where our new facility is located. So this was a great thing for us.
