The Chocolate Works & More!!™ is owned and operated by Melodie Hand and Anthony Little - a mother and son team. We started out in a small home based kitchen in 2003. We spent most of this time working on custom orders for several corporate accounts as well as local custom retail orders. As the business grew it became necessary to move into a separate kitchen facility. 95% of our chocolates are now made by us in our own kitchen facility located in Zebulon, NC.
In our new kitchen we produce over 200 different products on a custom order basis. To ensure quality and freshness all of our products are made as they are ordered. While we do have various products on the shelves for retail sales they are all made in small batches so that they are always fresh. In addition, we always use NC grown and NC produced ingredients when possible. We purchase our strawberries and other fruit from local farms and our preserves are also purchased from local farms when available. The only preservatives that will ever be found in our products are those that are already found in some of the base ingredients.
While our specialty lies in custom work for business and corporate accounts we welcome the retail shopper, our products are available both wholesale and retail. And we ship nationwide. Our catalog includes everything from chocolate dipped pretzels, marshmallows, and peanut butter balls to business promotional items and custom molded items.
Our goal is to provide fine, handmade chocolates and confections to people all over the world. Although, we do not yet ship internationally we will someday. We take pride in our work and give our customers the utmost in service.
